Description

*New RED FATPacks (all sizes) available now!*

Gen-2 FATPack 5x8 improvements: (1) external built-in tourniquet holders, (2) internal elastic holders for cylindrical items, (3) bottom pull tabs for easy closure, (4) covert MOLLE-Air structure.

FATPack (First Aid Trauma Pack) is a series of medical packs that offer volume-maximizing storage, and instant accessibility. Access your lifesaving contents with one intuitive downward pull! Available in three sizes: 4x6, 5x8, and 7x10.

FATPack 5x8 is 8" (H) x 5.5" (W) x 3" (D). It is the perfect size for your IFAK, Blowout Kit, or trauma-based medical kit.

Two external elastic holders secure tourniquets and shears for instant access. Elastic loops over high-viz ripstop pockets in the main compartment’s center and side flaps can secure cylindrical items (e.g. Epipen and airway tubes), saving you precious time when seconds count. User-configurable shock cord storage ladder on the front flap.

Sturdy grab handle unzips dual #8 YKK zippers and hook-and-loop fastener. Low profile MOLLE-Air structure is MOLLE-compatible and can be used as loop ID panel for blood type or other patches.

MOLLE back panel let you attach FATPack using MOLLE Sticks (*optional), or convert it to a hook-and-loop attachment using the MOHL-Air adapter panel (*optional). FATPack’s versatility will make sure your lifesaving gear goes wherever you go!

Great quality BUT way too small

Posted by Red on 6th Feb 2018

Without a doubt, this is probably the best built pouch I have ever layed my hands on. Certainly worth it's money! But to my taste it is way too small. Stuff gets cramped up inside very easily. If you really want to carry a useable bit of kit inside the pouch, I would purchase the larger one (7x10). I don't even use the outer span bands because gear gets exposed to the outside and for multiple reasons that is not always a good idea.
Inside the pouch there are many attachment and storage options like pockets and loops. Problem is you can't use them all because the inner space isn't large enough. Stuff gets cramped up as it is. My verdict: very well built, but too small.

    Great Product

Posted by Mike on 28th Jan 2018

Fit and finish is great. Zippers work so good even with it packed so full you think there is no way it will zip up. It is to big for a trauma kit it holds way more than I thought it could, so now it is more of a 1st aid kit. One hand opening is so cool just pull and all your stuff is there. Great quality. Would buy again and recommend to anyone.

Highly Recommend, Great for a Trauma Pouch

Posted by Unknown on 13th Dec 2017

I ordered this pouch when they had the black Friday special recently, and I'm glad I did. It took me a while to decide between this and the larger version but eventually decided to get this one. In my opinion it is the perfect size for a camping, car or even edc trauma kit. It had plenty of space for all the necessary trauma kit essentials. Because of the uniquely shaped double front zipper design, you have much more useable space for larger items than the standard 3 side zip outside zipper design of similar size. This unique zipper design also allows it to be opened 1 handed when attached to something, which is a game changer. The quality is excellent, this was my first order from Vanquest and I couldn't be more impressed. I tested the water repellent finish and it is more than sufficient for most uses. This thing is built to last, definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a good, durable and well designed trauma pouch.

Trauma surgeon's choice for a personal IFAK

    Posted by patriotmedical1776 on 20th Sep 2017

I am a full time surgeon in my civilian life, as well as a Navy Reserve surgeon in my other life. I am tough on gear and it gets put through real world stresses. I have used many pouches and bags over the years for my personal and level 1 first responder kits. I am now using this Vanquest bag and I love it. I bought another to create an IFAK for my son. It carries everything I need to render immediate care for two arterial injuries, two chest injuries, airway securing care, and of course assorted day to day first aid needs. The construction is rugged and very well thought out. The stitching is top notch and holds up to abuse, as well as very tight packing. The zippers are not cheap and can handle the strain of a tightly-packed closure, or getting squashed inside my range bag by heavy boxes of ammo, without bursting open at the seams. I recommend this bag to anyone looking to build a personal first aid kit or IFAK, whether you are going for a local hike or operating in the Hindu Kush. Keep this on your hip or in your pack and you won't regret it. See photos of my layout and how I've packed mine, as well as my recommendations for building Level 1 and Level 2 response kits, on Instagram.

    Excellent First Aid/Trauma Pack

Posted by Shawn H on 10th Jul 2017

This Fat Pack is exactly what I was looking for to organize my first aid / trauma kit.

I am setting it up as more of a trauma pack. I appreciate the option to pull the pack open when in a hurry rather than having to unzip it. Tons of organization!! I have a pair of EMT shears in the elastic on the side of the pack, and I will be adding a SOF-T Tourniquet on the other side.

The inside of the pack will hold the contents of my trauma kit

I have nothing bad to say about the Fat Pack. Excellent Design!!
